Nidd & Tommy
It was like years ago as far as i can remember when Nidd talked to me about being her wedding photographer and soon enough the big day was last week. Over some minor changes, i was given the honour to do her pre-wedding while she had another photogs to do her wedding day. Frankly speaking, I would prefer to shoot pre-wedding since it is more fun and less crowd
… Nidd, a childhood friend while Tommy is from Bali, Indonesia – shooting both of them was indeed a chance i would never trade with any other … Nidd and Tommy – thanks a whole lot … it was fun!
On the day we had the photoshoot, it looked like it was going to rain and surely there won’t be any sunset shot. Nidd was really looking forward to have a sunset shot for her album. The skies was dull and that was all we had, but Nidd and Tommy sure knows how to have fun no matter what. Surprisingly, right before it was time, the sunset appeared and look at how happy Nidd was knowing that her wishes comes true … we had like less than 8 minutes to fulfill a bride’s wishes … Thank God, we pulled through, and before we head home, we had a quick shot at one big tree nearby …
Sabah Model Search 2010 Top 6
I had the opportunity to shoot Sabah Model Search 2010 recently, and my first impression when entering the hall was “yeahhh!” … it was really different from any similar pageant events organized before here in KK; just like their tag line that says “Not your typical Model search” … I mean, the walkway is claimed to be the longest ever had … and it was not like the normal event-cum-dinner kinda thing or whatever functions that you can eat and watch the models doing their catwalk (thats sucks! some people will only concentrate on the food) … fyi, no foods were served inside the hall. But I guessed this was their 1st time organizing, so noticed some slacks here and there ie. the musics weren’t nice, some prize tags from the dresses weren’t removed – it looks funny during the catwalk… Emcee were not professional – her interview with the judges were not lighted (no spotlights i guessed
) … the openning performance is barely alright, not enough “power” … Anyway, here are some of my shots that night – enjoy!
Dresses were sponsored by some major retail from Suria Sabah. Would it hurt so much to remove the prize tag just for a while? By not removing the prize tags during a catwalk, surely makes the models looks cheap; watch.
Overall the event run smoothly towards the end … there were not many photographers around and it was easy to get some angle of the model. But towards the end, which (usually) is the most important part cuz that was when the winner get to pose along side with the other participants and still some “nuisance” photographers with their kit lenses will go towards the stage and try to get their best shots of the models – and this will always be the “noise” in my photos
… finally, here’s the final shot!
